Tech Ideas LLC ("Tech Ideas", "we", "us", or "our") operates TrueConnect, a hiring and onboarding platform for the last-mile delivery and logistics industry (Amazon DSPs and FedEx ISPs). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use TrueConnect (the "Services") — including when you apply for a position, complete interviews and onboarding, or otherwise interact with the Services.

By using the Services, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Services.

1. Who we are

TrueConnect is a hiring and onboarding platform operated by Tech Ideas LLC, a Florida limited liability company. Companies (Amazon DSPs and FedEx ISPs) use TrueConnect to receive applications, run interviews, and onboard drivers, helpers, dispatchers and other team members; staffing agencies ("Hiring Companies") may operate hiring for several client companies; and candidates apply and complete the hiring and onboarding process. Tech Ideas LLC also operates other platforms and brands (for example, OfferMile and other Tech Ideas products), referred to here as our "sister platforms".

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

A. Information you provide directly

  • Account & contact information: name, email address, mobile phone number, mailing address, and password.
  • Application & employment information: work eligibility and authorization, availability, employment and licensing details (including driver's license and, for some positions, DOT medical card information), résumé, and the answers and documents you submit during your application, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Sensitive information where required for the hiring process, which may include government identifiers (such as a Social Security Number) and identity documents. We collect this only where necessary and handle it as described in Section 6.
  • Company information (for company and agency users): company name, type, contact details, and locations.
  • Communications & preferences: messages you exchange with us or with the hiring company, and your communication choices, including whether you opted in to SMS and email.

B. Information generated by your use of the Services

  • Application responses, interview responses (form-based and AI-conducted phone interviews), and onboarding progress.
  • Status updates, hiring outcomes, and related records.

C. Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information; IP address and approximate location; usage data (pages visited, features used, timestamps); and cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9).

D. Information from third parties

  • The hiring company you applied to; background-check, motor vehicle record, and drug-test providers (when authorized by you); identity-verification providers; and our sister platforms, including OfferMile (see Section 6).

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, and process your application through interviews, onboarding, and related steps.
  • Communicate with you about your account, application, and process — by email, in-app messages, and (if you opted in) SMS text messages, including one-time verification codes, interview scheduling and reminders, onboarding step notifications, and status updates.
  • Verify your identity and phone number, and facilitate background checks and other hiring requirements with your authorization.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Services, provide a consistent experience across our products, and develop new features.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and policy violations.
  • Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and protect our legal rights.

4. SMS / text messaging

We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information related to your SMS opt-in — your phone number and your consent — is used solely to deliver the messages you signed up for.

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you agree to receive recurring SMS text messages from TrueConnect related to your application, hiring, and onboarding — such as one-time verification codes, interview scheduling and reminders, and onboarding step notifications. Message frequency varies — up to about 3 messages per day during active recruitment, onboarding, and employment and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of applying or of employment. For the full SMS terms, see our Terms & Conditions.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information to unaffiliated third parties. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • With the hiring company (and, where applicable, the staffing agency) you applied to, so they can review your application and manage your hiring and onboarding process.
  • With service providers and sub-processors that perform services on our behalf — for example, payment processing (Stripe), email and SMS delivery, cloud hosting and storage, analytics, identity verification, and background-check, MVR, and drug-test providers (when authorized by you). These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only to provide services to us and to maintain reasonable security.
  • Within the Tech Ideas family of sister platforms, as described in Section 6.
  • For legal reasons, when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or the platform.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

6. Sister platforms

Tech Ideas LLC operates multiple platforms that may share data with TrueConnect, including OfferMile. We may import candidate information from these platforms into TrueConnect and may share TrueConnect data with these platforms for operational, analytics, and service-improvement purposes. Because all such platforms are operated by Tech Ideas LLC, this sharing is internal to a single entity and is not considered "third-party" data sharing for purposes of this Privacy Policy.

Important exception: as stated in Section 4, your mobile phone number and SMS messaging consent are never shared, sold, or otherwise provided to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Background checks & third-party verifications

Some positions require background checks and the collection of sensitive information (such as a Social Security Number, identity documents, and — for some roles — a DOT medical card). When you authorize a background check, motor vehicle record check, or drug test through the Services:

  • The hiring company contracts with a third-party consumer reporting agency.
  • You receive any FCRA-required disclosures and provide written authorization.
  • Results are shared with the hiring company and may be visible in the platform.
  • You have the right to dispute inaccurate information directly with the consumer reporting agency.

We store sensitive information using encryption and limit access to those who need it.

8. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Services, support your hiring and onboarding, comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

9. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, understand how you use the Services, improve your experience, and detect and prevent fraud. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may limit some features.

10. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encryption of certain sensitive data at rest, secure password storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and you are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can opt out of SMS at any time (reply STOP) and unsubscribe from non-essential emails. To exercise your rights, contact us at support@trueconnect.ai; we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions. We do not sell your personal information.

12. California residents

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • Right to delete, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: Tech Ideas LLC does not sell personal information to unaffiliated third parties and does not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information.
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

13. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it.

14. International users

The Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

15. Third-party links and services

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
